DENMARK       Lødderup Friskole is in Nykøbing Mors.
The school is a private school situated in a rural area in Mors, Justland. There is adaycare-institution attached to the school teaching 70 children in day-care, 145 students and with a total of 37 employees.
The school is based on values closely connected to the danish tradition for independent schools. This means that the parents own the school in common and they determine the curriculum in cooperation with the teachers. The situation of the school means that most students have to leave the area to participate in more advanced studies. In order to address this challenge according to the curriculum the students must participate in a travel-program in order to develop intercultural and linguistic skills.

SLOVENIA      Primary School Majde Vrhovnik is a public school which was founded in 1959. It is located in the center of Ljubljana. Ljubljana is also the capital city of Slovenia. The school provides nine-year basic educational program, divided into 3 three-year cycles. The school has 20 classes and 483 pupils aged from 6 to 15. The profile of our pupils is defined by life in a strictly urban environment as well as by the fact that they mostly come from middle to high socio-economic background. Our pupils start learning English in the first grade. The 6th and 9th graders enter the National External Exam in which they are tested in their knowledge of Maths, Slovene and English. Our pupils always achieve above average results. There are 44 teachers, a psychologist, a social worker, a librarian and other paid staff members working in our school. There are many extracurricular activities our pupils can choose from: the school choir, drama club, arts and craft club, foreign languages and a variety of sports.
Primary School Majde Vrhovnik is situated on the grounds of the former Roman colony called Emona, which was established 2000 years ago. Next to the school there are carefully looked after Roman remnants in the Early Christian Archeological Park. The school lies in the vicinity of the medieval town center. The town center is marked by many buildings designed by the world famous architect Jože Plečnik. Our pupils discover and learn about the Slovene national heritage in many activities, field trips, projects implemented in the curriculum.

POLAND       Primary School in Nawodna is a small village school located in North-West part of Poland. It is only 10 kilometers to the Polish - German border, and 60 kilometers to international sea port Szczecin.
The surroundings of the school is rural and community is not rich, there are not big factory or business center.
Parents appreciate how important is education of their children and they are active in the school. The name of school is “European Commonwealth” and European cooperation is very important. In schools statute is that the graduate of the school should be active European citizen.
The school has got two buildings in two villages. Main building is in village Nawodna, there are students in age 4-12(age 4-6 in the kindergarden and 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th grade). The second building is in Lisie Pole , it is village 3km away from Nawodna. There are students in age 5-10(age 5,6 in the kindergarden and 1st, 2nd , 3rd grade).

ITALY       The Comprehensive Institute of Ciminna has got three locations in three different towns: Baucina, Ciminna and Ventimiglia di Sicilia. The population of the three towns is about eight thousand inhabitants.  The school population is heterogeneous for social, economic and cultural point of view. Some students of Primary and Secondary School live in an environment rich in interests, others in a more modest family background, with a few cultural stimuli; some pupils live in a disadvantaged socio-cultural and economic context. In each school, there are disabled students and there are also foreign students. Pupils attend school regularly. In our school, there are 1118 students and 109 teachers. The age of our students ranges from 3 to 14. The Secondary School curriculum is integrated with a Music course that lasts three years. Pupils must pass an aptitude test to attend the Music course. They learn to play one of the following musical instruments: horn, oboe, guitar and piano (the lessons are in the afternoon and last one hour per student). The musical expressive area becomes a privileged concern with all other subjects. The students attending the Music course, in agreement with the general aims of the school, through an educational and training music program are provided with the necessary skills to study music in the future. Students study two foreign languages: French and English. In the afternoon, some students are involved in extra-curriculum projects: Latin language course, Spanish course, Trinity course. 
GREECE       7th Primary School of Keratsini, is one of the oldest  (established 1937) and most historical related school in our town. It is in the backyard of Agios Georgios church, where Georgios Karaiskakis had his hideout and strategic base during Greek Revolution in 1821. Therefore it has strong ties with the community and the church. It is a big school of about 200 students, and 20 teachers faculty staff, that covers the first 6 grades of primary education (Ages 6-11). Because of its cultural roots, the school is motivated to participate in a project about culture, to give students the opportunity to explore other cultural roots in Europe, and therefore strengthen their European identity. Also the schools has received a number of refugees and it will be beneficial for the school to make these students work together in a multicultural environment. Same applies for school's staff which is motivated to do so in order to enrich our education curriculum.

SPAIN      Escola Vall de Palau is a pre-primary and primary state school located in Sant Andreu de la Barca.
Sant Andreu de la Barca is in the province of Barcelona. The town has 27,268 inhabitants. The town is part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona and it is just 18 km away from the city of Barcelona.
There is easy access to the city as there are public transport services beside our school. Sant Andreu de la Barca has got an important industrial area. In Escola Vall de Palau, there are 475 students and 30 teachers. The age of our students range from 3 to 12. The profile of students in school has changed in recent years due to a reorganisation of the town. The school was located on the outskirts of the town. Because of the expansion of the town, the school is in a new residential area made up of young families with middle socioeconomic backgrounds who are very interested about their children's education. Immigration has reduced in recent years due to the current economic situation.
